Georgia Tech Professional Education Appoints Former Delta Executive Patrice Miles as Assistant Dean of Business Operations

Newswise - Georgia Tech Professional Education recently appointed Patrice Miles as the assistant dean of business operations. In this role, Miles spearheads the organization's finance, communications, human resources, IT, marketing, operations and space rental sales departments. She also collaborates with campus leaders and faculty members to cultivate successful working relationships, while developing new business models that impact growth for Professional Education and support the overall mission of Georgia Tech.

"We are excited to welcome Patrice to the Executive Leadership Team. We look forward to using her years of experience to create successful working relationships with key institutional personnel to create and support both new and existing business models that lead to desired outcomes," says Nelson Baker, dean of Georgia Tech Professional Education, "Patrice has been behind many great accomplishments here, and bringing her to our leadership team will only strengthen it."

Previously, Miles served as the director of marketing and sales for Professional Education from 2007-2012, where she was responsible for developing and executing brand and marketing strategies for non-credit and credit programs as well as directing Georgia Tech Global Learning Center sales. Under her direction, her team earned many industry honors including gold, silver and bronze awards from the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA). Miles was also selected to be a mentor in Georgia Tech's "Mentor Tech" program and was a nominee for the Georgia Tech Administrative Service award.

"Making the many pieces of Professional Education come together for maximum impact and seamless operation is my priority," Miles said. "We have an incredible team of professionals here, and I'm thrilled to assist them, as well as support the business objectives of the organization in my new capacity."
